A photo of the High Street showing Cedrics garage which was built by Gray's the builders ,the old house was the chauffers house for Wivenhoe Hall.

Nice place for a carnival.

Fancy dress - Wivenhoe Carnival? - about 1910. Gwyndoline Harvey second row, first from left, dressed as a "gypsy" (which was also her nickname due to skin colouring). Looks like Vine Farm.

Its now covered in blue render Agh!!!!

The Methodist chapel in the Avenue was opened in 1901.

Left to right: Cyril Gwydir Harvey, Charles MacLachlan Harvey, Fred Harvey, Gwydoline Harvey. About 1905. Probably taken in their garden at Rutland Cottage, Park Road, Wivenhoe. Fred was the last son of Thomas Harvey who developed that area of Wivenhoe, born when his father was aged 62.
