They were lovely shrimps.

I bet a lot of you can remember Freddie Chapman who sold shrimps at the top of Scheregate steps in Colchester.

His cart was made by my Grandad and Gt Uncle : Sally Mc Andrew.

The Shead Family go back a long way as mariners.

The Master and crew of the yacht Seamaid, the sailor first left is Arthur Shead born Wivenhoe 1877.

Jack Durrell Green won the Marconi award as a telegraphist when training ashore in H.M.S. Agamemnon battleship he died 3/9/1916 from from disease in R.n. hospital, Malta he was buried in the Royal Naval cemetery, Capuccini, Malta.
