The Nook was situated on the Corner of Park Road and Belle Vue Road. it could have possibly stood on the site of Wivenhoe park House, which was owned by William Brummell, the brother of Beau Brummell. This photo. shows Alexandre Trotter, Shipbuilder at Wivenhoe, and his Family, 1891.

Thanks for that thought, Griz! I remember doing something similar when I was a child, in a grand old Vancouver house which had last been a convent.
