That was a great little shop.

Mr and Mrs. Jack Mallet outside their shop in East St. What a great shop that was.
I remember Mr. Newman before Jack and before Mr. Newman there was a Mrs. Chick,where you could buy a stick of chalk for 1 halfpenny.

That shop was so amazing! It had that great little brick-made step that went up to the door. And you could by one brass washer for about 1p or something, rather than nowadays when you have to go to town and buy £5 of them in a massive bag. And also... they ran a DIY shop and their surname was Mallet. I just wish my grandparents had run a brewery, quite frankly!
