What sort of car is that?

A young Philip Faucheux in the car with it's owner Mr. and Mrs. Barr.  This photo was taken in rectory Road in 1926.

Wivenhoe Memories collection.

I believe it is Hector Barr the sail maker and his Wife whose maiden name was Howe. Her Father was the Brightlingsea ferry Man.

Oooh, do you know which Mr. and Mrs. Barr that is? My great-great-grandmother was a Barr, and it seems that the Wivenhoe Barrs are all related to each other.

The car did not belong to Hector Barr, the sailmaker. It was owned by a Mr. Barr but I cannot recall his Christian name at the present !!
