I bet you get sunlight anytime of the day.

One of the round gatehouses at Wivenhoe Park, now the University. I think i have now traced a relative of this Lady.


My Mum always referred to these houses as "Thruppenny bit houses" When she was very little, her and her Brother lived in one of them (which one I don't know). Her parents (My Grandparents), lived there, they both worked for the Gooch family possibly in the late 30's to early 40's. My Mum was born in 1942. My Granddad was the Butler/Game Keeper, My Nana the Cook. I have 2 photos of my Granddad and both employments. Their surname was Harper.
