William was not a "Dandy" like his Brother George

This brick tomb on the east side of the churchyard is dedicated to William Brummell of Wivenhoe Park House, which was situated on the corner of Belle Vue Road and Park road.Probably on the site of the Nook.

William was the Brother of Beau Brummell the regency dandy, his real name was George Bryan Brummell (1778-1840), it is said he sometimes visited his Brother William at Wivenhoe.
