Before we had North Sea gas.

My mother's sister in law was Maud Edwards, Gassy Edwards daughter and I used to visit the wooden house often in my child hood, Gloria 2014

The old Gas works in St. Johns Road, situated  on what is now the start of Walter Radcliffe road.

 A man called Gassy Edwards, was in charge there, but i only new Ted Barnes who came along later in the 1950- 1960's with his trade bike.
