This is the 1953 street party in Alma street, in those days you could leave your front door open all day and not worry, it was a lovely place to live. I remember all those folk in the photograph.

I believe the lady second from left, middle row is my Aunt Alice Kibble (nee Downing). Oldest child of the Downing family who lived at Broadway House, Wivenhoe.
